How is The Little Horse Barn different from other online horse auctions?  The Little Horse Barn is a fully automated customized auction site that is designed with many eBay-like features in mind.  Some of the benefits of The Little Horse Barn are:

  • Lower cost, more features: The Little Horse Barn basic listings are free! There are nominal optional fees for using two elective features:  Main Featured Listings and Category Featured Listings.  There is no Final Value Fee charged on items sold. Period. It's Simple! Easy uploading, no computer guru degree is required for using our program.
  • The Little Horse Barn Auction and eBarns! Your listings are posted for a specified period of time, with your “Reserve”, or lowest acceptable sale price, set by you.  Your horse or other items may be withdrawn from the Auction at any time if a bid has not been made.
  • The Little Horse Barn “eBarn”: Your own web store on The Little Horse Barn is available to all members, where you can post horses, tack, trailers, supplies, or any item that you want to sell. You can manage your eBarn and use your own private eBarn URL for marketing purposes.  And you can link to your website from your eBarn or your auction listing.
  • A Feedback System: Auction Buyers and Sellers are able to leave feedback to “rate” each other as buyer and seller

The Little Horse Barn  submits daily all auction listings to the Google Merchant Center.  We also post a weekly advertisement to several small horse sale boards and we are on Facebook.   The Little Horse Barn sends out eFlyers to our over 2000 members.
  • Real Online Customer Service: Fast answers to your questions and fast issue resolution. We are prompt, courteous and helpful to answer questions, provide information, and assist with your needs.
  • “Three Strikes You’re OUT”: The Little Horse Barn is serious about protecting our members. If a seller or a buyer has three severe complaints proving unethical business practices, they will be banned for life on The Little Horse Barn.  We want our customers to feel safe! Our applying members are screened before new accounts are activated.
  • Please note: We cannot “police” every sale and “Buyer Beware” applies to each sale. Do your “due diligence” before buying.

  • The Little Horse Barn CHARITY: The Little Horse Barn has no fee accounts available for charity fundraisers for 501(c) small horse rescue organizations and for small horse registries.

Our fee structure allows everyone to be a winner.  Keeping our fees low helps to to increase profit for sellers and provide better deals for buyers.

  • True competitive bidding - Our "Five Minute Sniper Protection Mode"  runs like a LIVE AUCTION.  As long as there is bidding at the end of the auction on horses or items within the last 5 minutes, the auction will NOT CLOSE at SET TIME!  This allows these auctions to go into "overtime" should there be 2 or more people bidding at the end of an auction.  This allows fair buying/selling at auction endings.
